Bespoke by default. AI accelerated throughout.
No two engagements get the same template. Every build is shaped around what the work actually needs, and AI runs through the whole delivery rather than sitting in a box marked innovation.
Boomera is an Australian software company that does two things: builds and runs its own products, and takes on bespoke work for your company.
Our current products are ReviewBox and Waitspot, both aimed at hospitality operators who need something their staff will actually use mid shift. The bespoke side is cloud and platform work, AI and agentic systems, and bringing older software forward.
AI is not a service line here
Plenty of shops sell AI as an item on a menu. Here it is closer to how the work gets done at all.
Agentic development means specification, implementation, review and test generation run with AI in the loop rather than as an afterthought, with a human accountable for whatever ships. In practice that changes the economics. Work too small to justify a project becomes worth doing, and work that used to take a quarter gets scoped in weeks.
It reaches deployment too. Pipelines, infrastructure definitions, migrations and the documentation nobody wants to write are all faster to produce and easier to keep current when they are generated and verified rather than hand carried.
It also shows up in the products. ReviewBox drafts review replies and reads sentiment out of written feedback, neither of which would have been economic to build and run a few years ago.
Why both
Selling software is one kind of knowledge. Running it is a different one, and much harder to fake.
Operating our own products means carrying the pager, paying the cloud bill, and finding out precisely which clever decision costs money at 2am. That is the useful part. Not a methodology, just scar tissue, and it is what stops an architecture diagram from being wishful thinking.
It runs the other way as well. Bespoke work puts us in front of a range of problems no single product would ever produce, and those patterns come back into our own systems.
How we work
- Every engagement is scoped on its own. No fixed package, no template pretending your situation is the common case.
- AI where it earns its place. Used to compress delivery, not to pad a proposal, and never left unreviewed.
- No lock-in by design. Infrastructure as code, documented handover, no secret knowledge held hostage.
